Juliette Lemontey
Juliette Lemontey is a painter based in Grenoble,
France, a city located at the foot of the French Alps. Working in
oil on antique linen, Juliette creates large-scale, figurative paintings
which demonstrate a keen eye for form and color. Her works are based
largely on photos of friends and acquaintances.
Juliette mixes her own pigments, as artists did for
centuries before the advent of manufactured tubes of pre-mixed paint.
Juliette is represented in Grenoble by Galerie Cupillard, and has
exhibited throughout France and Europe.
Juliette has been invited to work on her paintings
in the U.S. and exhibit work in San Francisco, California in the
fall of 2006. Juliette will be a guest artist at the studio of San
Francisco artist Diane Rollins Feissel, painting and exhibiting
recent work at 1890 Bryant Street Studios in the Mission District.
Both Juliette and Diane will exhibit at Galerie Cupillard in Grenoble,
France in the spring of 2006.
