Painting is my time machine, a way to map out and investigate the serendipity that occurs when combining unsuspected imagery from past and present American culture. Inspired by estate sales, vintage photos and magazines, I discover familiar scenes and mingle them with paradoxical elements. In a contemporary world that is at times monotonous and conformist, these paintings suggest whimsical daydreams that give one a place for reinvention.
