I am interested in our sub conscience feelings about color, shape and space.

My large oils on canvas deal with the placement of simple, extruded shapes on the canvas and their relationship to the edge of the surface and to themselves.

Current works in progress are a series of layered pieces on plexiglas with various themes relating to the juxaposition of floating type in three dimensional space. The pieces are meant to engage the viewer in determining their oun defination of narative and object.

I have always enjoyed living by the ocean, was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and currently live in Alameda, California in an original old beach house built in 1875. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology where I received a Bachelors in Fine Art with an emphasis on printmaking. I have worked as a illustrator and logo designer in the San Francisco Bay area since 1989 and have had my design work featured in CA annual and Print annual publications. I do volunteer work for Taproot Foundation, a non profit that pairs graphic designers with non-profit organizations in need of marketing and graphic design identity.
