Rebecca McKinney

Rebecca McKinney's latest body of design work is inspired by the ocean and aptly named la Sirena designs. Her jewelry collections feature pearls, shells and seaglass tumbled by oceans and polished by sands off the rugged coasts of California and the more tropical coasts of Mexico. She incorporates this raw material into designs with leather and silver to create pieces that urban nomads can adorn themselves with in their everyday wanderings.

And for you urban nomad men, Rebecca will also be introducing her long-awaited Mudmaid design, printed on hoodies from American Apparel. Okay, it's true, chicks dig 'em too!

When Rebecca is not at 1890 Bryant, she can be found at her corporate job in Product Development at Restoration Hardware, working toward her next trip to Mexico. There, one day, she hopes to set up her second studio, Co-opa Palapa, under a canopy of trees with a cool breeze flowing through, trading silversmithing lessons for spanish lessons, just minutes from a sweet little surf break.
