Trish Tunney
I have been a photographer since I picked up my first
camera as a kid in 1979. I have always been drawn to shadows and
patterns and weathered objects. Everything I know about
photography has come from shooting.
I think of my fine art images as gifts; little bits of magic I
have found in my wanderings. For me, the images have more to do
with the way the light falls than the objects in the pictures
themselves. And because they are gifts, I don't alter the
results of my capture by moving things around in the real world
or digitally afterward. The most manipulation I will do is move
around to the other side of a scene, or wait for a cloud to move
so the shadows will return.
In addition to my fine art photography work, I am a photographer by vocation.
